Day 53: Blossom #2

Hello again audience, I had such a hard choice today in pictures as I have lots of really nice pictures of  my dogs and other dogs but I don't want to keep showing you pictures of dogs :P They will come in time. I will be heading to Sweden on Wednesday which will be exciting I hope I can get some beautiful pictures for you :) In the end I decided on this beautiful picture of some of the most amazing flowers on this tree.. I am not 100%  sure on the name of the Tree but I think it is called a Magnolia tree but that is just from a quick but of googling. This was one of the first things I looked up my road when I went for a walk when I got home and I needed to get a picture of it.

So soon I will be on my way to Sweden again, all the nerves and stress from travelling are starting to build up..have I got everything will it all go ok and all that sort of thing, but all of it is worth it. Thank you for reading the blog today and I will see you again tomorrow!

Now some random facts!

Pollen is a fine to coarse powder containing the microgametophytes of seed plants, which produce the male gametes (sperm cells). Pollen grains have a hard coat that protects the sperm cells during the process of their movement between the stamens to the pistil of flowering plants or from the male cone to the female cone of coniferous plants. When pollen lands on a compatible pistil of flowering plants, it germinates and produces a pollen tube that transfers the sperm to the ovule of a receptive ovary. The individual pollen grains are small enough to require magnification to see detail.
