Day 32: Out with the old.

Hello again audience, I have to start today's blog with a bit of a moan, yesterday I had to delete my first ever comment as it was not constructive at all and just insulting. People can voice their opinion, call mine wrong and suggest ways of improving my photograph all of these are fine.
Today's picture I was not sure about but I thought either people will love it or they will hate it. The building is called the Chapman building in Salford Uni and is soon to be demolished. So I thought I would get a picture of it before it is torn down. The vines on the building have spread almost all over the building, even though the ivy vines have been cut they still remain leaving these beautiful patterns all over the building. I hope this post can give a fitting good bye to this building where 1000's of people learnt so many things.
I think a good question for today blog would be, What do you think is better Old or New? In my opinion I am a massive fan of modern things, its how I like it but some old things are very beautiful so I am torn, it all depends on how old and how it looks :)
Now some random facts!
Ancient history is the study of the written past from the beginning of recorded human history in the Old World to the Early Middle Ages in Europe.
The span of recorded history is roughly 5,000 years, with Cuneiform script, the oldest discovered form of coherent writing, from the protoliterate period around the 30th century BC. This is the beginning of history, as opposed to prehistory, according to the definition used by most historians.
The term classical antiquity is often used to refer to ancient history since the beginning of recorded Greek history in 776 BC (First Olympiad). This roughly coincides with the traditional date of the founding of Rome in 753 BC, the beginning of the history of ancient Rome, and the beginning of the Archaic period in Ancient Greece. Although the ending date of ancient history is disputed, Westernscholars use the fall of the Western Roman Empire in AD 476, the death of the emperor Justinian I, the coming of Islam or the rise of Charlemagne as the end of ancient and Classical European history.

I love how they stain the building. I think its sad that its being knocked down. I am all for modern buildings and new buisness' but i also think you should have some old too! As long as its taken care of and doesnt become unsafe. But that is one of the main reasons i want to go to Italy. Because of all the history! There is a beauty in it. But technology wise, i love new! :) And as for your rude commenter, good for you deleting it! Dont let people make you unsure if your pics are worthy, this is Williams photo blog! And i love the pictures, facts, and questions you choose! You rock!
