Day 17: Faith in stones.

Firstly I would like to say thank you for all the comments and views yesterday, I received almost 100 visitors yesterday making almost 1/6 of my total views! and a new follower! It makes me so happy when people enjoy what I do!

Today I took a long walk(8.2km) with a mission to get some pictures of some beautiful old buildings, and wow I got a lot! but for now I will show you these beautiful photos of this Salford Cathedral, I don't why there is so many holy buildings in such a small area but it does not hurt to take pictures of them! you may recognise the spire in this picture from day 12 at a distance :P. In today's blog i wanted to ask another important question! and one that many people struggle to answer. What is Faith/religion to you? what are your beliefs?
and what do you think happens when you pass on?

As a scientist I am not very religious but it has always been a background element to my life. I think that there is definitely something that made all this but i do not believe it is not watching us any more or he may have become everything it created and so lives within us and everything that exists in the Universe, I would like to believe in something after death otherwise everything would seem so pointless, but then maybe it is.  I would love to hear what you guys think please leave a comment!

Now some random facts!
The Catholic Church, also known as the Roman Catholic
Church, is the world's largest Christian church, claiming more than a billion members. Its leader is the Pope who is head of the College of Bishops. A communion of the Western and Eastern Catholic churches, it defines its mission as spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacraments and exercising charity.

The Church is among the oldest institutions in the world and has played a prominent role in the history of Western civilisation. It believes that it was founded by Jesus Christ, that its bishops are successors of his apostles and that the Pope as the successor of St. Peter possesses a universal primacy.
Church doctrines have been defined through ecumenical councils and the Church maintains that by guidance of the Holy Spirit it can define its teachings on faith and morals infallibly. Catholic worshipis centred on the Eucharist in which the Church teaches bread and wine are supernaturally transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ.

The Church holds the Blessed Virgin Mary in special regard. Catholic beliefs concerning Mary include her Immaculate Conception without the stain of original sin and bodily Assumption into heaven at the end of her life.

Hmmmmm, first i will say i loooovvve these pics and all the new ones flooding fb right now! :) and religion is such a touchy subject isnt it? Always afraid you might say something that offends anothers religion. I personally believe that we are all entitled to believe (or not believe) what we want. And i never have been one to say "because its not what i believe, your wrong!" i belive there is somewhere after here that we go (if we choose-ie choose to haunt and roam our loved ones lol) i would like to think its the way i pictured it as a child, we all get our own cloud and we all have flowy white silky gowns and there is no evil and we get to float around and fly with our big white wings and everything has a glow to it. And its always warm and the clouds are so comfy and we can look down at our loved ones and see how they are till they get to join us! I am still holding on to this vision! Lol and it sounds amazing. So i hope its true. I will say i have had meet with jesus (i think) when i was younger and got into an accident, it was a vision dream and he told me i should get back home so i did! And it was alot like my picture-the white glow, white horses, clear water, warm, and peaceful! I know its weird but i really feel that is what i saw? Who knows if it was what it was? Maybe im crazy? Lol
